Danobang!

🧧 Chinese Update!

Danobang is now playable in Chinese! We currently support Simplified and Traditional prompt types.

• The game accepts pinyin and hanzi input.
• Choosing between simplified and traditional modes only determines what kind of prompts you'll see. You are still able to submit answers in any form as long as it's correct.
• The alphabet bonus for Chinese game modes requires that you collect all pinyin initials to earn an extra life
• The dictionaries are sourced from CC-CEDICT and CC-Canto with some filtering applied to exclude NSFW words.

📝 Custom prompts are here! You can now create your own prompts in custom rooms.

• Select "Custom" from the prompt type dropdown to enter your own prompts
• Type prompts separated by commas or newlines, then hit Save
• Mixing and matching different prompt types is allowed e.g. you can specify both kana and kanji

✏️ You can now submit answers using chinese characters in hanja/kanji matches! Previously we only accepted hangul/kana input.

• This is only available in hanja/kanji matches. For hangul/kana matches, we still only accept hangul/kana input.
• To handle ambiguity with alphabet bonus and duplicate answers we use the first valid reading stored in our dictionary. This means that you may not always see the reading you expect when submitting chinese characters.
• This setting is optional, if you want to only allow hangul/kana you can toggle this setting off in custom rooms
